This music video is an audio-visual accompaniment to Instrument/Traveler’s Ode, a multimodal poetry project by Dao Strom. The video corresponds to a section in the book, Instrument, a sequence of photos + lyric essays titled “[Wading into a new decade (ten miles of jungle, twenty+ river crossings, one night in a cave, chimes at the altar of the Highway of Horror, then lunch by the sea) forty-five years after the exodus]”. The song appears on the album, Traveler’s Ode.

Music video for song “I have traveled”, made initially as a video projection during Nes Artist Residency period, in collaboration with Kyle Macdonald. The video was projected onto a pyramid shape; the song was performed and recorded in the Biopol Studio.

A documentation of an installation created in the private studio at Nes Artist Residency, October-November 2017. Video projection + music. The first song was recorded live in the church in Skagaströnd; the second song was recorded in the Biopol studio. Music by Dao Strom; set construction and videography by Kyle Macdonald. A video + filmed performance of Dao Strom’s poem, “Flower Diatribe #1”, which appears as a text poem in the poetry-art book Instrument. The poem was initially performed live as part of a hybrid-poetry performance at Reed College Chapel Theatre for the 2016 Reed Visiting Writers Series (curated by Samiya Bashir). The video + poem were published online in Poetry Northwest, 10/30/2017.
